Opportunities at TNI
University of Michigan Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We here at the TNI have a strong commitment to DEI engagement and expect our teammates to play an active role in supporting this commitment as well. We strongly encourage participation in activities, mentorship, and outreach that enriches knowledge and facilitates meaningful progress within the community.
If you are interested in joining our lab, please consider participating in DEI opportunities as they become available. You can learn more about U of M's DEI initiatives here:
Student Opportunities
Rotation Students! UROP Students! Work Study Students! PREP Students! SMART students!
Come one, come all! Many opportunities are possible and we are actively seeking enthusiastic students to participate in nanobody production, research, and development.
Our secret mission is to cultivate a whole generation of new scientists who think nanobodies are the best!
If you are interested in student opportunities in the TNI, please reach out to Mary Skinner (maryski@umich.edu).
Postdoctoral Positions
While we are not actively recruiting postdocs at this time, we strongly encourage postdoctoral candidates who are interested in the work that we do to connect with us and discuss possibilities for a position in the lab.
Job Opportunities
We are not currently hiring faculty and and staff at this time, however candidates that are eager and interested in our mission should connect with us to discuss what might be possible. Please reach out to Mary Skinner (maryski@umich.edu) with inquiries.
Community Engagement
The TNI takes an active approach to community engagement and values the connections and contributions of our community. Michigan resident farmers are essential to our efforts and provide us critical access to their llamas for immunization. We value their contributions to science and their trust in us to work with their animals.
We here at the TNI are always looking for more ways to engage with our community! In the future, we hope to provide opportunities for local community college students to participate in 10-week summer projects in nanobody development and offer guidance in their scientific careers. We also hope to broaden the spectrum of science enthusiasts in our community and are actively working on efforts for public engagement and will keep you updated as they develop!
If you have an idea about other ways we can engage in our community or would like to collaborate, please connect with us!
